Our Coaching Care Team
Coaching
The act of Coaching is the grace-filled work of guiding ministry leaders into unexplored places and unexpected new habits. We use The KINEO Curriculum to help structure our weekly development, discussions, and disruptions. Each Coach walks a peer group of 6 to 8 people through a 24-week process of learning, reflection, discussion, and vulnerability that crescendos for 5 days at the KINEO Center. We help leaders unpack their emotional injuries, their internal exhaustion, their defended egos, and their next steps in their identity.
Care
We practice a hybrid between Coaching and Care. The posture of Care is essential. It is the presence of compassionate-curiosity for every story shared. Weary and wounded ministry leaders need a space to be heard, without judgement. A coach must be tender, kind, a good listener, and a careful question-asker. We have separate groups for women and men ministry leaders to increase safety and honesty. A background in Spiritual Directions, Counseling, or Therapy is preferred to be a KINEO Care Coach.
